Dreams Come Like Suspense Thrillers!

Yesterday, I had funny dreams. As usual, none of them had any connectivity to each other, though they were continuous. None of them had any great meaning whatsoever nor gave room for any meaningful interpretation or suggesting any psychic power! I never believed that dreams have any meaning nor they point out to any future occurrences. I believe that our tired brains, working without any purpose, lethargically, throw out useless dreams , which most of us cannot recollect next day- unless we write them down immediately. But, nevertheless, there are some important things to note that some of the dreams are violent or exotic and we do remember them. When the dream reach the climax the brain comes fully awake and we get out of our sleep as well the dreams. We remember part of them though. Some of these dreams linger in mind, for a longer time.

My yesterday’s dream was very funny and exciting. In one section of the dream, I stand near a table, along with a friend ( though I do not remember the face or identity). There is a third person, a well built African facing us. My friend challenges him and the African demands that if I had guts, I could keep my hand on the table, palm down. I do so. At this point of time, I did not know what was to happen next. I thought that the strong African might try to smash my hand and I was ready to withdraw my hand in any such eventuality. But, surprisingly, he just tapped on my hand, near a nerve and smiled at me. The next second, I was shocked to see that blood started gushing out of the vein which got cut! I looked at it in disbelief and did not know what to do. After this, I collected some cobweb near the table and apply it to the wound. Miraculously, the blood flow had stopped! I came fully awake from the dream.

There are important points and doubts which arise in my mind. Why my mind concocts this kind of a dream? It is not out of any past experience. Besides, I was not aware of what the African was to do to me in the next moment I kept my hand on the table! This is really intriguing since the author of the dream is myself and I was kept in suspense about what was to happen next. How can this be possible?

If any one suggests that there are sections of brains which act autonomously, there should also be one controller which balance their activities! This is not understandable at all, with the limited knowledge. Perhaps a neuro expert can explain this, to some acceptable level. Then why cobweb? Does it have any medicinal effect on fresh wounds? Will it stop blood flow?

Most of the dreams are nonsense. But, there are areas which are really worthy of research for our improvement.
